Id like to see how many people will say No to the question " Do you support increase of Green Cards to immigrants already here playing by the rules, paying taxes, Soc Sec etc without benefits, and waiting in line for an average of 6-7 years"
Hell, quite a few of the poll questions say the "amnesty" is unfair to those people who play by the rules...
I say.. focus our efforts on us for the time being.. differentiate ourselves from the undocumented..

Based on the same language English that you have studied, and I have studied, the term 'That' refers to Eb-3's PD. One cannot just throwaway all the merit earned on Eb-3. Which precisely what you are asking one to do.
Porting is a right justice served. Of course, not everybody are eligible for that.
You are entitled to your opinion on this matter and so am I. Nobody is asking you to throw away all the merit earned in eb3 you get to keep your priority dates in the eb3 category. That way if eb3 ever becomes current you still get your green card.
The other point that I am trying to make is that the core keeps complaining about how the IV members do not help in advocacy and in any grass root efforts, I am not sure about the other eb2 applicants but I think I can safely say that for most of them, the IV agenda items are geared towards helping the entire EB legal immigrant community but when it comes to porting the entire IV community (including the core) condones anyone who supports porting and lashes out at anyone who doesnt which just makes me believe that this is more like an IV - EB3 rather than just IV.

for example: If there is H1 to H4 conversion on 11/01/07. Last used date of H1 is 11/01/07 and H1 will expire on 11/01/08 since it is unused for an year.
Another example: If H1 is approved on 10/01/07 and not used till 11/01/08. H1 will expire on 11/01/08 since it is unused for an year.

I am happy to report that we got our approvals. No SMS, no emails, no status change. Infact, our online status still shows RFE review. We got welcome notices yesterday and that's how we came to know about approvals. Got LUD on an old H1B on 8/14/2010.

When xyz had his Eb-3 140 approved, by definition he was OK'd to be immigrant in that category with THAT date. When he files for an EB2 he is "OK'd" to be an immigrant in that category at THAT date.

True, like I still have a EDD letter talks about my first case for GC was filled on Aug. 2001 as wanted to immigrant but what is the use, as I have to file new one as even if I have transferred my employment to my parent companies client, USCIS has no rule to transfer labor process or priority dates until has approved i140, they requires to file new one which surly takes time. And I am sure mostly people completed even 10 years of working waiting for GC have the same issue.
