I got an email today from USCIS stating this
Current Status: Card production ordered.
I did not receive any other approval notice. I hope this means that our 485 is approved and the cards have been ordered ?

Usually there will be another message "Notice welcoming permanrent resident sent" . Then, after a few days there will be "Approval notice sent" , the physical approval notice goes to your attorney. You should receive the physical card within 7-10 days.

You seem to be acting more in your interest than larger good of the members of this community. You have been quietly browsing all this time and suddenly became a member and starting whining and complaining of what IV is doing. You don't need to get hyperactive and start freaking out. Relax and do what IV is requesting you to do at this time. There are a lot of items & issues IV is working on and they have prioritized some of them as very important which affects the larger members of this group. These important ones are what they are concentrating for now. If you do not like what IV is doing, you are more then welcome to move on and do what pleases you. But please stop discouraging & instigating other members with your stupid comments.

I do completely support IV team, particularly because it is a collective decision made by a dedicated group which certainly would be much more wise than what I think with my limited awareness on this whole issue. I see the priority date for caydee as March 2006 from the profile.. Does this mean, USCIS has already started processing cases that are going to be current from September 1st??

My case was received by NSC on JUN 1st. They issued the recipt numbers on JUN 5th. I am still waiting on my wifes. They could clear on Monday.. Looks like NSC is also trying to speed up things. They are just one day slower than TSC in issuing recepts.

I landed in Ca in Jan 08. my 485 pending. I had expired h1 when landing. I went for h1 stamping in Toronto during the trip. at the consulate you have to disclose you status in Ca. I told I just landed yesterday, and the officer congratulated me, and I got h1 renewed for 3 years (my h1 was renewed after my I140 was approved, but before I applied for 485 - so 3 yrs extn).
at the windsor border (drove by car), I even disclosed to guy that I landed in Ca. He did not say anything, but just asked to show my vehicle registration. Also he asked if I don't have to then live in Ca, I told him it's not necessary until after 3 years to maintian my residency there. He said Ok and let me in.
again it's better not to lie about you Ca pr, coz there's the landing stamp on your pp, even if you removed the document stapled on your pp.
again i've been to Ca twice since landing (with the doc staped on my pp). no problem re-enterin US.

I can tell you there are roughly 100,000 labor applications filed (50,000 EB3) between Aug 2003 and Dec 2003 for EB India category. The reason was everybody wanted to clear thru regular process before PERM takes over. Those Labors filed after Aug 2003 and before PERM started are moved into backlog and are fully cleary last 4 th quarter. And so 90% of those EB3s may be still there (45,000) hanging. EB2s could have been cleared substantially till Dec 2003. It is all my guess work and not sceintific or factual.

My GC was approved on Aug.19, 2008 and received my Physical card on Aug. 22, 2008 :):). I am wondering what to do with the I 94 , which I received after my last re-entry to USA in 2006 using AP. Any info.

Thanks Zooom, for starting this thread. I've mentioned about IV Core's selfless service in our 'Thanks' thread couple of days ago but didn't know about the magnitude. $64k is helluva money and its just not right coming from one pocket to favor thousands of others. Aman and other core, day by day you raise above and beyond our imaginations as a leader and guide. We assure you that you will not pay another single dime from your pocket.

I am in same situation who has sept 10th ND from TSC , no FP for me or my wife. I did open a SR and i got a response letter saying that either your FP has expired or clearance has not been received.. will send one by mail soon.
It has already been 45 days since the letter was dated. NO FP nothing.
Has going to IO helped anybody is getting a FP notice? That seems my last resort.
If its TSC then I do not think it will help at all. Whenever I talk to IO their only response if they are waiting for availability at local ASC.
So TSC people are out of luck.

Based on the same language English that you have studied, and I have studied, the term 'That' refers to Eb-3's PD. One cannot just throwaway all the merit earned on Eb-3. Which precisely what you are asking one to do.
Porting is a right justice served. Of course, not everybody are eligible for that.
You are entitled to your opinion on this matter and so am I. Nobody is asking you to throw away all the merit earned in eb3 you get to keep your priority dates in the eb3 category. That way if eb3 ever becomes current you still get your green card.
The other point that I am trying to make is that the core keeps complaining about how the IV members do not help in advocacy and in any grass root efforts, I am not sure about the other eb2 applicants but I think I can safely say that for most of them, the IV agenda items are geared towards helping the entire EB legal immigrant community but when it comes to porting the entire IV community (including the core) condones anyone who supports porting and lashes out at anyone who doesnt which just makes me believe that this is more like an IV - EB3 rather than just IV.

Atlast all my checks are cashed today. I am able to get my case number from the checks. Even though INS received my application on June 6th, in my 485 it says that they have received my application only on June 11th. Wonder why?

While your story is interesting, but I beg to differ again, because, immigration is not something which would be discussed in the Congress for the first time, if we are successfull in bringing something. Each and every single lawmaker in this country understand immigration to the extent that you may not even start to guess...People who oppose us have been putting their restrictive bills again and again so they are going to continue doing that despite of us do something or sleep, do you think Numbersusa wait for us to do something, their anti.... mill will keep churning.
Sometimes you have to see the other perspective rather than just defending a point of view.
Now is not a good time for immigrants. The EB5 investor visa, which is a no brainer in this economy has been kicked on like a can for 6 mths at a time, congressmen that are pro- immigration are laying low. Anti-immigrant forces are gearing up for a big assault in coming weeks, the American public is unsympathetic given their own issues. Against this backdrop why would we launch such an effort. Basically now is the time to play Defense not Offense. Do all you can to hang on to your job, keep your savings liquid. Wait for any opportunities to arise, and wait for the storm to pass.
After the great depression, this country virtually shut down immigration for the next few decades. Likewise they slowed it down in the early 80s and again in the early 90s. Right about now, no change is a good thing IMHO, as bad as that sounds, as change will not be in your favor.

It is indeed sad that you continue to pontificate from a perch of indifference and ignorance. We all know that the entire EB immigration system is not a zero sum game (just ask Ron Hira and his ilk). Sad thing is, when it comes to EB3 I's, EB 2's such as you suddenly transform into a Ron Hira lite ... going about throwing broad hints about how the system is setup the way it is ... to serve those 'higher in the pecking order'.
If we were to buy this weak attempt at making a 'logical point', I would be glad to give Ron a call and have his folks look into YOUR respective EB2 applications and find out if there REALLY was "NO" qualified US worker available for that job. Want to play that game?

There is no wrong doing by DOS by changing the VB, but the timing is wrong. They should have changed it as soon as they released it or else atleast by 25th or 26th to prevent some damage.

USCIS broke a law last month by not accepting the EB3 Other workers, even when the bulletin said that the numbers were avaible.
But this time , they just did something morally wrong ( that 2 i am not sure, based upon what i have read so far, which are more or less speculations)

and USCIS just follwed it, No Law was broken,atleast i cant see, which law was broken.

Story of my life. I complain about delay with my application. Someone joins me and tells me they are in the same boat and the very next day that someone leaves the boat and jumps into "greener" pastures. Everyone is leaving the boat and I seem to be left out :(

I have tried to get it resolved but they haven't done anything about it [had tried Ombudsman (7001), Senator, congressman, SR etc]. Funny thing is even the incorrect priority date is current now. And still waiting for GC for over a month :mad:
